Buying a good-quality roof box can be expensive, especially once you add the cost of roof bars and fixtures – which are often specific to your car. Then there’s the issue of bulky storage and maintenance.
Most people only need a roof box a few times a year, so hiring is a smart alternative. It’s:
- Cost-effective – pay only for when you need it
- Hassle-free – we supply and fit everything
- Space-saving – no need to store awkward boxes or roof bars
- Flexible – choose the size that suits each trip
We offer high-quality roof boxes and roof bars, fitted and ready to go – so you can focus on your adventure, not your gear.
To fit a roof box to your car, you’ll need roof bars (also called cross bars) fitted first. Even if your car has front-to-back roof rails, cross bars are still required to mount the roof box securely.
Don’t worry—we supply and fit roof bars too! We stock fittings for over 300 car makes and models, and we’ll help identify the right kit for your car based on its make, model, registration number, and roof type.
We make the whole process easy and stress-free.
Yes – we can supply and fit roof bars for most makes and models of cars. Just let us know your car’s make, model, registration number, and roof type (e.g. raised rails, flush rails, fixed points, or a plain roof).
Not sure what roof type you have? Don’t worry – we’ll help you identify it.
If we have the correct fittings in stock, we’ll get you sorted quickly. If not, and you give us enough notice, we can order the right kit specifically for your car -so it’s ready in time for your trip.
We stock fittings for over 300 car models, so you’re likely covered!
Yes – we fit all roof boxes and roof bars for you as part of the service. We want you to feel confident that everything is fitted safely and securely before you hit the road.
We’ll show you how it all works and make sure you’re happy with the setup. While you’re responsible for checking the load regularly during your trip and driving within safety guidelines, we’ll make sure everything starts off in top condition.
Please note: Full fitting terms and safety guidance are included in your hire agreement.
Yes, absolutely! If you already have compatible roof bars fitted to your car, you’re welcome to hire just the roof box.
Likewise, if you only need roof bars—for example, to transport your own roof box, a kayak, or bikes—you can hire those on their own too.
We’re happy to provide whichever part of the setup you need. Just let us know what your plans are, and we’ll help you find the most practical and cost-effective option.
Not yet, but we’re actively looking into it due to growing demand! E-bikes are heavier and often require specially designed carriers, so we want to make sure we offer the safest and most reliable options before adding them to our hire range.
If you’re interested in hiring an e-bike carrier in future, let us know – we’ll keep you updated as soon as they’re available.

Not at the moment.
While we understand the growing interest in roof tents for adventure travel, we don’t currently offer them for hire. Roof tents are very heavy and bulky items, often weighing 50kg or more, and installing them safely requires a minimum of three people -two to lift and one to guide and stabilise from the opposite side.
As a small, customer-focused team, we prioritise safety, professionalism, and high service standards. We will never involve customers in lifting or fitting equipment due to strict health and safety protocols and because it’s simply not the level of service we believe our clients deserve.
Until we can confidently and safely manage roof tent installations without compromising vehicle safety or customer experience, they won’t be part of our offering. However, we’re always reviewing what we can provide and may consider it in the future.
We’re based in Lanark, South Lanarkshire, ideally located for customers across Central Scotland.
